The Role of Human Knowledge in Explainable AI

چکیده
As the performance and complexity of machine learning models have grown significantly over last years, there has been an increasing need to develop methodologies describe their behaviour. Such a mainly arisen due widespread use black-box models, i.e., high-performing whose internal logic is challenging understand. Therefore, AI field facing new challenge: making more explainable through appropriate techniques. The final goal explainability method faithfully behaviour (black-box) model users who can get better understanding its logic, thus trust acceptance system. Unfortunately, state-of-the-art approaches may not be enough guarantee full understandability explanations from human perspective. For this reason, human-in-the-loop methods widely employed enhance and/or evaluate models. These focus on collecting knowledge that systems then employ or involving humans achieve objectives (e.g., evaluating improving system). This article aims present literature overview employing improve approaches. Furthermore, discussion challenges, state-of-the-art, future trends in also provided.
